We are looking for a warm, guest-focused Front of House team member to join us on a casual basis, with the opportunity to progress into a more permanent role for the right candidate. Additional hours are available for Front of House at our other venues – Six Degrees, Albany and Venice Restaurant should that be of interest to applicants.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional food and beverage service to guests in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Welcome and seat guests with a warm, professional attitude that reflects Chanya Thai’s hospitality values.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests or dietary requirements clearly to the kitchen.
  • Manage bookings, phone enquiries, and table reservations using POS and booking systems.
  • Process orders and payments accurately through the POS system.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation in all front-of-house areas throughout service.
  • Assist with table set-up, resets, and overall dining room flow.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current Police Check – required prior to commencement.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in a front-of-house role in a hospitality environment – this is a must!
  • Sound working knowledge of POS and table booking systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for guest service.
  • An appreciation for or interest in Thai cuisine and culture is highly regarded.
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster including weekdays and weekends.
